Google Review QR Code for Your Dental Clinic: How to Set It Up the Right Way

Most happy patients are willing to leave a Google review. They just do not do it, because nobody asked at the right moment and finding the review button on Google takes too many taps. A QR code on the reception desk solves both problems: you ask while the patient is still in the clinic, and the review form opens in one scan.

Here is how to set it up properly. When you are ready, the free Google Review QR Generator creates a printable card and ready-made WhatsApp messages from your review link.

Step 1: get your official review link

Google gives every business profile a short link that opens the review form directly. Sign in to the Google account that manages your clinic profile, open your profile on Google Search or Maps, and look for the option to ask for reviews (it may appear as “Ask for reviews” or “Get more reviews”). Copy the link it gives you. Google changes its menus from time to time, so the wording may differ slightly.

Test the link on your own phone before you print anything: it should open the star rating form for your clinic.

Step 2: turn the link into a QR card

Paste the link into the QR generator. You get a card with the QR code, a short instruction in Arabic or English, and your clinic name, ready to print. A few tips:

  • Print it at least the size of a postcard so it scans easily from a short distance.
  • Put one card at reception and one in the area where patients wait after treatment.
  • Keep a smaller version for the treatment room, so the dentist can mention it at the end of the visit.

Step 3: ask every patient, the same way

The card works best with a short, natural request from the team, for example: “If you have a minute, we would really value your honest review on Google. Just scan this code.” Ask at the end of the visit, when the patient is relaxed, not while they are paying.

For patients who leave in a hurry, send the link on WhatsApp the same day with a thank-you message. The generator writes this message for you.

The rules you must not break

Google's policy for reviews is strict, and breaking it can lead to reviews being removed. Keep to these points:

  • Ask everyone. Do not ask only the patients you think are happy, and do not screen patients first and send only satisfied ones to Google. Selective asking is not allowed.
  • No incentives. Do not offer discounts, gifts or anything else in exchange for a review.
  • Let patients write their own words. Do not write reviews for them or post reviews on their behalf.
  • Protect privacy when you reply. Thank people, but never confirm treatment details in a public reply.

Reply to every review

Replies show future patients that a real person runs the clinic. Thank positive reviewers briefly. For negative reviews, stay calm, apologise for the experience, and invite the patient to contact the clinic privately. Read more in Don't Fear the Feedback.

Frequently asked questions

How many reviews does a dental clinic need?

There is no magic number. What matters to patients is a steady flow of recent, genuine reviews. A clinic that adds a few reviews every week looks more trustworthy than one with many old reviews and nothing new.

Can I use one QR code for several branches?

No. Each branch has its own profile and its own review link, so print a separate card for each one.

Is a QR code better than sending a link?

Use both. The QR code catches patients while they are in the clinic, and the WhatsApp link catches the ones who leave quickly.
